Our History
EBM Printers is a long-standing, family-run commercial printing company based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. In 1973, two friends and work colleagues, Ernie Briggs and Barry Maskrey, took a big leap of faith and decided to start their own printing company. Amalgamating the initials of their names, EBM Printers was born. In the ensuing years, as the business grew, they continued to add to and update their wide range of machinery, improving their versatility and becoming a one-stop printing company. In the late 1980s, Ernie retired and Barry’s two sons, Darren and Gary, who themselves had served apprenticeships at other printing companies, joined EBM Printers. Subsequently they both became partners alongside their father, Barry. In 2013, Barry retired. Today, EBM consists of a small, friendly team who are always happy to help with print requirements, no matter how big or small. We pride ourselves on giving personal attention at all times, from the initial order through to delivery. In 2023, we were very proud to celebrate our 50th anniversary milestone.
